Андрей Пленкович (хорв. Andrej Plenković, нар. 8 квітня 1970, Загреб) – хорватський дипломат, юрист-міжнародник, політичний та державний діяч. Прем’єр-міністр Республіки Хорватія.
Починаючи з 1994 р., у часи самовідданої боротьби хорватського народу проти сербської агресії, А.Пленкович розпочав свою дипломатичну працю в Міністерстві закордонних справ Хорватії, сфокусувавшись на євроінтеграційній проблематиці.
З моменту обрання Андрея Пленковича у 2013 р. депутатом Європейського Парламенту, де він обіймав посади Заступника Глави Комітету закордонних справ ЄП, Голови Делегації Європарламенту в Україні та Співголови Парламентського комітету асоціації Україна-ЄС, А.Пленкович зробив помітний внесок для європейської інтеграції України та забезпечення з боку ЄС допомоги нашій країні у її боротьбі проти російської агресії.
А.Пленкович продовжував висловлювати беззаперечну позицію підтримки України. Він неодноразово гостро засуджував агресивну політику та повномасштабну війну росії проти України, підтримував антиросійські санкції на рівні ЄС, надання Україні статусу члена ЄС та інтеграції України до євроатлантичних структур.
У 2021 р. Андрей Пленкович став одним із поважних учасників установчого засідання Кримської платформи, де виголосив вітальну промову українською мовою, яку підсумував фразою – «Крим – це Україна!». А вже в травні 2022 р. А.Пленкович проявив мужність і твердість своєї позиції, здійснивши робочий візит до м. Київ, під час якого провів переговори з Президентом України Володимиром Зеленським.
«Хорватія послідовно підтримує Україну в політичному, дипломатичному, правовому, фінансовому, гуманітарному й технічному плані. І ми продовжуватимемо надавати цю допомогу, чітко розуміючи, що ми робимо це як країна, яка завжди була переконана в тому, що ми перебуваємо на правильному боці історії, на правильному боці етики», – наголосив Прем’єр-міністр Хорватії.
З початку повномасштабної збройного наступу росії проти України Уряд Хорватії виділив значний обсяг фінансової допомоги Україні, зокрема у вигляді гуманітарних та технічних вантажів. Хорватія прийняла на тимчасовий захист тисячі українських громадян, які вимушені були покинути свої домівки.
Andrej Plenković (born April 8, 1970, Zagreb), Croatian diplomat, international lawyer, politician, and statesman. Current Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia.
Starting from 1994, in a period of the selfless struggle of the people of Croatia against the Serbian aggression, A. Plenković began his diplomatic work in the Ministry of foreign affairs of Croatia with a focus on European integration issues.
Andrej Plenković made a significant contribution to the European integration of Ukraine and provided support from the EU assistance to Ukraine in its struggle against russian aggression since he was elected as a member of the European Parliament in 2013, where he held positions of Deputy Head of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, Head of the Delegation of the European Parliament to Ukraine and Co-Chair of the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee.
Having headed the Government of Croatia in 2016, as well as after being re-elected as the Prime Minister of Croatia in 2020, A. Plenković continued to express unwavering support for Ukraine. He repeatedly and strongly condemned russia’s aggressive policy, full-scale war against Ukraine; supported anti-russian sanctions at the EU level, reinforced granting the EU-member status to Ukraine, as well as Ukraine’s integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures.
In 2021, Andrej Plenković became one of the distinguished participants of the inaugural Summit of the Crimean Platform and delivered his congratulatory remarks in the Ukrainian language, concluding with the phrase – «Crimea is Ukraine!». In May 2022, A. Plenković demonstrated courage and firmness in his position by paying a working visit to Kyiv, during which he negotiated with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
«Croatia has consistently supported Ukraine in political, diplomatic, legal, financial, humanitarian, and technical matters. And we will continue to provide this assistance, understanding clearly that we are doing this as a country that has always been convinced that we are on the right side of history, on the right side of ethics», Andrej Plenković said.
Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale armed offense against Ukraine, the Government of Croatia has allocated a significant amount of financial aid to Ukraine, in particular by providing humanitarian and technical aid. Croatia accepted for temporary protection thousands of Ukrainian citizens, who were forced to leave their homes.
