Прем’єр-міністерка Литовської Республіки Інгріда Шімонітє як Глава Уряду та особисто надає надзвичайно важливого значення максимальній підтримці України та залученню литовської і міжнародної допомоги нашій державі в умовах повномасштабної російської агресії.
У 2022 році вона тричі відвідувала Україну – 10-11 лютого з офіційним візитом, запевнивши у підтримці Литви з огляду на погіршення безпекової ситуації на кордонах України; 11 квітня з робочим візитом солідарності і практичної підтримки України в умовах повномасштабного вторгнення рф; 26 листопада для подальшого сприяння і координації дій в рамках зустрічі глав урядів України, Литви та Польщі регіонального об’єднання «Люблінський трикутник».
Очолюваний Інгрідою Шімонітє Уряд Литви одним з перших надав нашій державі макрофінансову та військово-технічну допомогу. Сума загальної допомоги Уряду Литви Україні у 2022 році склала 261 млн. євро 0,5% ВВП, що 4-м за величиною показником у світі.
Очолюваний І.Шімонітє Уряд Литви вжив оперативних і дієвих заходів для введення національних санкцій проти рф. В контактах з іноземними партнерами Уряд Литви та особисто Прем’єр-міністерка І.Шімонітє лобіюють потребу оперативного схвалення потужних санкційних пакетів ЄС проти рф. «Україна захищає свою і нашу свободу», – наголошує Прем’єр-міністерка Литви.
Вагомою була підтримка І.Шімонітє та сприяння литовського Уряду наданню Україні статусу країни-кандидата на членство в ЄС в ході засідання Європейської ради 23-24 червня 2022 року. В День гідності та свободи 21 листопада 2022 року І.Шімонітє наголосила, що «нашим завданням є доказати, що Європейський Союз є гідним реалізації мрій українців».
Урядом Литви було прийняте важливе рішення про виділення 2 млн євро для реалізації ініціативи Президента України В.Зеленського «Зерно з України». І.Шімонітє взяла особисто участь в церемонії інавгурації цієї ініціативи у м.Київ 26 листопада 2022 року.
Вагомим є внесок Литви у відновлення енергетичного сектору України, зокрема шляхом постачання значної кількості трансформаторів та генераторів.
І.Шімонітє сприяє максимальній ефективності взаємодії урядів України, Литви і Польщі в рамках регіонального об’єднання «Люблінський трикутник».
Перебуваючи з візитом 26 листопада 2022 року в Україні, Глава Уряду Литви вшанувала пам’ять жертв Голодомору-геноциду в Україні 1932-33 років на території Музею Голодомору за участі Президента України В.Зеленського.
«Я рада кожній нагоді відвідання України. Щоразу повертаючись, ніби, частинка мене залишається з моїми українськими друзями», – зазначає І.Шімонітє.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė as the Head of the Government and personally puts the utmost importance on the maximum support of Ukraine and the attraction of Lithuanian and international assistance to Ukraine in the wake of the full-scale russian aggression.
In 2022, she visited Ukraine three times – on February 10-11 for an official visit, assuring Lithuania’s support given the deteriorating security situation on the borders of Ukraine; on April 11 for a working visit of solidarity and practical support for Ukraine in the context of the full-scale invasion of russia; on November 26 for further assistance and coordination of actions within the framework of the meeting of the heads of government of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland within the Lublin Triangle.
The Government of Lithuania, headed by Ingrida Šimonytė, was one of the first to provide macro-financial and military-technical assistance to Ukraine. The total assistance of the Government of Lithuania to Ukraine in 2022 amounted to EUR 261 million – 0.5% of GDP, which is the 4th largest figure in the world.
The Government of Lithuania under the leadership of Ingrida Šimonytė promptly and efficiently imposed national sanctions against russia. In contact with foreign partners, the Government of Lithuania and personally Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė advocate the need for prompt approval of strong EU sanctions packages against russia. “Ukraine defends its freedom and ours,” the Prime Minister of Lithuania underlines.
Considerable was the support of Ingrida Šimonytė and the assistance of the Government of Lithuania in granting Ukraine the status of a candidate country for EU membership during the European Council meeting on June 23-24, 2022. On the Day of Dignity and Freedom on November 21, 2022, Ingrida Šimonytė stressed that “our task is to prove that the European Union is worthy of realizing the dreams of Ukrainians”.
The Government of Lithuania adopted an important decision to allocate 2 million euros for the implementation of the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy “Grain from Ukraine”. Ingrida Šimonytė attended the inauguration ceremony of this initiative in Kyiv on November 26, 2022.
Considerable is the contribution of Lithuania to the restoration of the energy sector of Ukraine, through the supply of a substantial number of transformers and generators.
Ingrida Šimonytė facilitates efficient cooperation between the governments of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland in the framework of the Lublin Triangle.
During her visit to Ukraine on November 26, 2022, the Head of the Government of Lithuania honoured the memory of the victims of the Holodomor-Genocide in Ukraine in 1932-1933 at the Holodomor Museum with the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“I cherish every opportunity to visit Ukraine. Each time I have to leave seems like part of me stays here with my Ukrainian friends” Ingrida Šimonytė noted.
