Метте Фредеріксен (дан. Mette Frederiksen; нар. 19 листопада 1977 року) – данський політик і державний діяч, 42-й Прем’єр-міністр Королівства Данія.
З першого дня повномасштабного військового вторгнення Росії в Україну Метте Фредеріксен висловила тверду позицію щодо підтримки України та засудження агресивних дій РФ.
Вона стала однією з перших іноземних лідерів, які відвідали Україну під час війни, здійснивши візит до Києва 21 квітня 2022 року. Перебуваючи в Україні, Метте Фредеріксен відвідала Бородянку на Київщині, де на власні очі побачила результати руйнувань, спричинених російськими військами.
Прем’єрка Данії також однією з перших заявила про готовність надати Україні зброю та військове обладнання.
27 квітня 2022 року у відеозверненні до учасників засідання Конгресу місцевих та регіональних влад при Президентові України Метте Фредеріксен підтвердила готовність Данії відіграти провідну роль у відновленні Миколаєва. В короткі терміни було спрямовано відповідну допомогу на відновлення тепло- і водопостачання у місті, а також на підготовку пошкоджених у результаті обстрілів будівель до зимового періоду.
За словами Метте Фредеріксен, «Україна може розраховувати на Данію та данців». Данія прийняла понад 30 тисяч українських переміщених осіб, оперативно ухваливши спеціальний закон, який відкрив українцям доступ до данської державної системи соціального захисту та ринку праці Данії.
У своєму зверненні до Верховної Ради України 21 червня 2022 року Метте Фредеріксен відзначила неймовірну силу та залізну волю українського народу, його силу і мужність, які, на її думку, вирішать хід війни з РФ. Вона висловила впевненість, що, коли закінчиться війна, виникне нова і сильніша Україна: «Ви боретеся не тільки за свою країну, але й за вільні нації у всьому світі. Це війна між свободою і гнобленням, між демократією і тиранією, війна, яку ніхто з нас не може дозволити собі програти».
Mette Frederiksen (born 19 November 1977) is a Danish politician and stateswoman, 42nd Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Denmark.
From the very first day of Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine, Mette Frederiksen has taken a firm stand in support of Ukraine and condemnation of Russia’s aggressive actions.
She became one of the first foreign leaders to visit Ukraine during the war, having paid a visit to Kyiv on 21 April 2022. While in Ukraine, Mette Frederiksen visited Borodianka in the Kyiv region, where she saw first-hand the results of the destruction caused by Russian troops.
The Prime Minister of Denmark was also one of the first to declare readiness to provide weapons and military equipment to Ukraine.
On 27 April 2022, in her video address to the participants of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, Mette Frederiksen confirmed Denmark’s readiness to play a leading role in the recovery of Mykolaiv. In a short period of time, appropriate assistance was sent to restore heat and water supply in the city, as well as to prepare buildings damaged by shelling for the winter period.
According to Mette Frederiksen, “Ukraine can count on Denmark and the Danes.” Denmark received more than 30,000 Ukrainian displaced persons, having quickly adopted a special law that gave Ukrainians access to the Danish state social protection system and the Danish labour market.
In her address to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on 21 June 2022, Mette Frederiksen noted the incredible strength and iron will of the Ukrainian people, its strength and courage, which, as she believes, will decide the course of the war. She expressed confidence that once the war was over a new, stronger Ukraine would emerge: “You are fighting – not only for your own country, but for free nations all over the world. It is a war between freedom and oppression, between democracy and tyranny. A war none of us can afford to lose”.
